Our Quality Assurance systems are ISO 9001:2008 / ISO 13485 : 2003 certified for materials and components used in manufacturing, packaging and inspection processes.
We also offer a complete line of medical devices that are CE marked for European as well as Global distribution to support our international customers.

It is ensured that all our products are free from any type of contamination before being put up for sale.
Our high quality products are packaged in DuPont's tyvek which possesses great strength and resistance towards microorganisms.

We Support Our Commitments by

SMB is a supplier of IUD's to United Nations Population Fund whose manufacturing facilities have been inspected and verified by UNFPA and tested by International laboratories like Family Health International USA and TUV SUD, Singapore.

SMB has been supplying Intrauterine Contraceptive Devices Copper T to the Government of India for the National Family Welfare program since 1991.

SMB is supplying IUD's for KfW projects through Helm Pharmaceutical GmbH, Germany.

SMB IUDs have been exported worldwide covering all five continents.

Our manufacturing capacity for Non Absorbable sutures has been inspected, verified and assessed by the Director General of Quality Assurance (Stores), Ministry of Defense, Govt of India, Kanpur and have been awarded Grade I unit status.

Infrastructure

We have an ultra modern manufacturing unit, well equipped to produce perfect products, which have excellent qualities such as safety, reliability, convenience and comfort. We have acquired state-of-the-art technology and in-house facilities and constantly upgrade our production process with new innovations. Production

The molding, manufacturing/assembling are carried out by highly trained technicians / employees in controlled environmental conditions of Class 10,000 to reduce bio burden on the product to minimum possible level. SMBs manufacturing capacity is 21 million IUDs per annum and non absorbable surgical sutures 15 million per annum.

Quality Control

Total control of quality is a plant wide activity and represents aggregate responsibilty of all personnel. However the responsibility for defining and auditing the QC system and for evaluating the quality of the finished product rests with the Quality Control Dept. within each manufacturing operation.
